MAKNA receives numerous applications from cancer patients – both children and adults – undergoing treatment in other government
hospitals. These requests range from applications for radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment, the purchase of medication and
travelling expenses. We also provide surgical equipments, non-formulary drugs, prosthesis and liquid nutritional food among others.
Annually we support over 4,500 patients nationwide. RM 9 million is needed every year to financially assist
cancer patients.
A Bone Marrow Transplant will cost RM 40,000.
A complete cycle of Chemotherapy Non-Formulary Drug will cost from RM 18,000 to RM 25,000 per patient.
A surgical equipment for a patient costs between RM 3,000 to RM 7,000.
A year supply of Enercal Plus Liquid food will reach to RM 3,200.
