100,000 Rubber Ducks Target
Kuala Lumpur: 100,000 rubber ducks - that is the target or organisers of this year's Charity Duck Race Kuala Lumpur.

Festival Square Circle, the organisers of event, are hoping to raise RM1,000,000 in the race scheduled for Sept 4.
Its managing director Raja Aris Dzulkifli said the money will be channeled to charity organisations.
"With the higher number of duck adoption we are confident of raising funds for both the Majlis Kanser Nasional (MAKNA) and the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation," he said after launching the race at Kuala Lumpur Tower, recently.
Also present were Kiwanis president Sunny Lee, Makna President Datuk Mohd Farid Ariffin and Menara Kuala Lumpur Chief Executive Director Datuk Zulfkifli Mohamad.
Yellow and red ducks will be floated down from a bridge near the Putra World Trade Centre along the river until the bridge near Dataran Merdeka, a distance of two kilometres.
Each duck carries a randomly computer generated numbered tag and this number corresponds to the number on the adoption certificates.
If a red duck reaches the finishing line first, its parent will win RM1,010.00 cash and if it is yellow, the adopted parent will bring home RM10,000.
Those who are interested can adopt the ducks online at www.ticketcharge.com.my or go to Kiwanis centres, Makna corporate headquarters and all Watson outlets in the Peninsular.
The price for the duck is RM18 each.
